Just Because

Just because.

Can’t wait to drink you up, Bartenura.

Sometimes people do things just because.
Just because they want to do it.
Just because they love you.
Just because they felt like doing something.

Mr. Speedy does a lot of things for me in this romantic  just because style of doing things.

Just yesterday, just as I ran out to meet him at his truck, just as he was opening his arms for a big hug, just as I felt my knees begin to buckle and turn into stringy pieces of cheese, just as we got to share that extremely titillating anticipated first kiss after decades apart (only two days, but it really felt like more)-

He pullled a just because.

“Just because… I missed you… I made you this basket,” he said gesturing to a wrapped up basket.

This basket included not only that lovely Moscato pictured above, but also this handsome device:

A KINDLE. BE STILL MY LIBRARIAN HEART. DROOL.

There was also some beer and diet cokes and a Dancing Daisy.

If you do not know what a Dancing Daisy is, then please- go here, and be fascinated. It makes me laugh hysterical like a hyper hyena every time I look at it. Pirate even likes it. It can easily be found at any dollar store that is cool enough to carry it.

And just because he is so sweet and bought me a digital library without any reason other than just because, I took the liberty of doing his laundry and ironing his shirts just because.

Let me just say, HOLY SMOKES.
Ironing Mr. Speedy’s smart, professional, well-fitted clothes is quite a chore.
I did 6 shirts and a pair of pants in… about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Basically, I could have ran over 10 miles in that time.
Or taken 17 showers.

They sure do look sharp:

And just because I don’t want this blog to be all about love and happy couple topics, and just because you might think “Wow, Lily is so lucky to have a kindle,” check out my current frozen attachment on my right knee:

That is a frozen bag of brusselsprouts. I prefer peas but Pirate ate them all.

I like to wear frozen veggies snuggly on my knee just because.

I’m kidding.

My knee really hurts from running and I’m trying to fix this through the powerful healing remedies a family freezer has to offer.
