Over the years, I have recieved some gifts that directly relate to my love for running.
Cold gear, warm gear, gel goop, and reflective socks.
Within our first month together, Mr. Speedy bought me new shoes and a chic, white Brooks running jacket.
Of course, this made me jump for joy and realize that he is one in a trillion.
BUT-
I got him something really unique that I doubt he has ever seen.
While feeding my obsession with Etsy, I stumbled across this beauty of a thing:
How awesome is this medal holder? I love it.
This women, ShineOnSportyGirl, is an athletic artist that mainly works with metal.
Her shop is AMAZING. It was somewhat difficult to pick which medal rack to get Mr. Speedy but I like this one for the following reasons:
- It is heavy duty- he has about 3985039 medals so this should be able to hold all that weight
- It is a simple design- not over-done or frilly (just like him)
- I reminds me of a wave- I love the design.
I hope he likes it.
If he doesn’t- I’m keeping it.
And hanging my purses from it (along with my medals of course).
On a completely unrelated note, I also bought these personalized cards for Mr. Speedy and my best friend– they love them.

We are all one in the same..me you and our manfriends!! My hunky monkey bought me running gear for my bday, and I am in love with this medal hanger. I actually plan to make my own soon..but I need some bling first! All my races thus far haven’t given medals. Must be because a 10K doesn’t earn the right for one. Alas, with Disney around the corner I will get a FATTY medal and I will wear it everywhere I go.

Love the medal hanger. I was planning to make one over the weekend out of a piece on pine and some eye-hooks. I’ll have to paint it or something.
